Hurricane Milton evacuees, the State of Alabama is ready to welcome you to 21 state parks. Here is the information you need to know.

Alabama has 21 state parks. All of these state parks offer tent camping. 18 of the parks accept RVs and tents with 15 parks offering tent camping, RVs, and lodging accommodations.  20 of the parks offer day use.

This morning, Monday, 10-7-2024, I spoke with Monte Sano State Park Huntsville, Alabama which stated all state park rules will apply to incoming guests. Therefore, you are encouraged to select a park that will fit your needs for camping, cabin, or lodge rentals. Reservations at the parks are encouraged. Here is a link for online reservations. Reservations | Alabama State Parks (alapark.com) For further information or any questions call 1-800-Alapark

Dogs are allowed in all Alabama State parks. Dogs must be on a leash and pets should not be left unattended during your stay. Many cabins now allow dogs. These accommodations will allow you to evacuate with all of your family members. Here is a link to the Alabama State Park policy concerning dogs. Dog-Friendly Policies | Alapark
